Aspen taking stain unevenly. Aspen doesnt contain resin and has toughness as well as exceptional stiffness. I have read of sealing the wood first with wood conditioner and then using a gel stain. I used a wood conditioner i think it was pre stain wood conditioner made by minwax 4 5quart before staining.
